Masters champ Matsuyama obtains Head of state’s Honor

TOKYO (AP) – Hideki Matsuyama got the Head of state’s Honor in Tokyo on Friday for winning the Masters golf event.

He was the very first Japanese champion at Augusta National, the popular American club.

Matsuyama won the reduced amateur title at the 2011 Masters simply weeks after the quake, tidal wave and also the disaster of 3 atomic power plants ruined the northeastern Fukushima location of Japan. The disaster eliminated regarding 18,000 individuals.
